Gaddafi International Charity and Development Foundation is delighted to announce that a number of dignitaries, Scholars and Intellectuals have joined its Council of Trustees . These include:

- HE Giulio Andreotti, Ex. Italian Prime Minister.

- Professor Benjamin R. Barber, Distinguished University -- Professor of civil society, University of Maryland, Distinguished Senior Fellow at Demos and Director Civ World.

- Professor Richard J. Roberts, Nobel Prize winner in Physiology 1993,

- Professor David Held, Graham Wallas Professor of Political Science, London School of Economics and Political Science, LSE, Co-director, Centre for the Study of Global Governance, UK

- HE Jose de Venecia, Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Republic of the Philippines.

- Dr. Ali M. Asalabi, Libyan Intellectual and Scholar with contributions to Islam history.

- Rev. Dr. Chung Hwan Kwak, Korean Peace activist, Chairman, Universal Peace Federation

-HE George Papandreou, Leader of the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK) and President of Socialist International.

-Professor Hernando De Soto , Peruvian Economist, Founder and President of the Institute of Liberty and Democracy(ILD) Lima, Peru.


It is worth noting that the Council is made of board members of the member societies in addition to personalities chosen for their contributions
